What are the best drinks to poop fast?

By drinking juices, you don’t have to worry much about dry and hard stools, which look like small stones or marbles. Juices can help with constipation by providing hydration and essential nutrients such as fibre to promote healthy digestion and bowel movements, says dietician Ekta Singhwal.

Here are some juices to relieve constipation!

1. Prune juice

Prunes or dried plums may help with constipation. As per a 2011 study published in Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics, prunes should be considered a first-line therapy incase of mild to moderate constipation. The dried plums contain sorbitol, which is known to act as a natural laxative. To prepare prune juice, blend together 6 to 8 pitted prunes with a cup of water until smooth.

2. Apple and pear juice

High in soluble fiber, apple and pear juice aids digestion, the expert tells Health Shots. Put 2 apples and 1 pear together in a juicer and blend.

3. Lemon juice

Many people like to start their day with a glass of lemon juice. This is especially true for those who wish to lose weight. Lemon juice is high in soluble fiber, making it the perfect drink to make you poop fast. Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into a glass of water and drink up.

4. Orange juice

Orange juice contains enzymes that promote bowel movements and help you poop fast, says Singhwal. You can use 2 oranges to make a glass of orange juice every day, and see the difference.

5. Pineapple juice

Pineapple juice promotes bowel movements. Blend 1 cup of pineapple chunks with 1/2 cup of water until smooth.

6. Spinach juice

Spinach juice is rich in fibre and magnesium, and that makes it one of the best drinks to poop fast. Take 2 cups of fresh spinach leaves and put them in a juicer.

What is the best time to drink juice for fast bowel movement?

The best time to drink fibre-rich juices is in the morning on an empty stomach. This allows the body to absorb the nutrients more efficiently and stimulates bowel movements, aiding in regularity throughout the day. Just drink one glass of juices daily for optimal digestive health. However, you should listen to your body and adjust accordingly. Drinking too much juice can lead to excess sugar intake and potential gastrointestinal discomfort. You may end up with diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, bloating, and gas.

Word of caution

Juices can help increase the frequency of bowel movements and water content in the body, but people with certain medical conditions, such as diabetes or gastrointestinal disorders like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), should be careful. They should avoid juices that are high in sugar or sorbitol, as they may exacerbate symptoms. Also, people with allergies to specific fruits or ingredients should avoid those juices.

It is important to drink fruit or vegetable juices in moderation and consult with a doctor if you experience any adverse effects.
