Diwali just got over and we’re pretty sure you’ve had your fair share of fun. From all the desserts to the namkeen, most of us have been binging on our favourite delicacies. The guilt of it all, however, only grips one post-Diwali.

Worry not, ladies! We know exactly what you need and have a 7-day detox diet plan.

So, are you ready?

Nutritionist Manisha Chopra has devised a post-Diwali diet plan that will help you detox.
Here’s what you need to consume early in the morning

Take boiled jeera, ajwain, and cinnamon with a glass of lukewarm water and 4 almonds. Remember to consume these on an empty stomach. This will aid the digestion of complex foods eaten a day before.

Your breakfast should look like this for 7 days

Make fruit platter and green tea your go-to breakfast options for a few days.

Start your morning with a bowl of fresh fruits. Fruits are a great source of vitamins, minerals and fibre. They will help you in detoxifying your body after Diwali. Have a cup of green tea after breakfast to aid digestion.

It’s time for some mid-morning munching

Buttermilk is the best when it comes to mid-morning snacks since it is loaded with probiotics.

Buttermilk is very healthy as it contains a lot of proteins, calcium and minerals. It is low in fats and calories. It is also a good source of zinc which helps in keeping your blood sugar level stable.

It’s lunchtime!

Yes, detox means khichdi in lunch.

You can have moong dal khichdi for lunch with a little tadka. You can pair it with curd. Khichdi is very healthy and light on your stomach!

No more junk in the evening

Nuts and green tea to cleanse your gut again!

In the evening, you can take a handful of nuts with a cup of green tea. It will help contribute to improved digestion.

Here’s your last meal for the day

For dinner, got for sautéed vegetables with clear soup. This combination will help you feel light during the night and enhance the detox process.

Remember to have dinner before 7:30 pm in the evening.

All you have to do is follow this diet plan religiously for just 7 days for a proper detox post-Diwali!
