5 tips for weight loss after a party season

  1. Incorporate proteins in your diet:

Consuming one gram of protein for every kilogram of your body can help in weight loss and aid muscle growth. Eating a high-protein diet can keep you fuller for longer, boost metabolism, and cut down your hunger pangs. Lean meat, seafood, nuts, tofu, legumes, eggs, dairy, fish are all rich sources of proteins that you energized without contributing much to calorie gain. For best results, distribute proteins evenly throughout the day.

  2. Eat more fiber:

One way to get rid of belly fat and digestive-related issues is to incorporate fiber-rich foods into your diet. Fiber encourages the growth of good bacteria living in your lower gut, which help take care of processed like assimilating nutrients and processing waste. Consuming more fiber can help accelerate fat metabolism and thus decrease fat storage in the body, essential for weight loss. Add foods high in fiber content such as beans, broccoli, berries, avocados, whole grains, dried fruits, nuts, sweet potato, bananas in your diet for rapid weight loss.

  3. Take liquid meals:

Eating too much fried or processed foods can take a toll on your gut health. Thus, detox your body by taking more liquid diets in the form of soups to replenish your digestive system and cut down calories. Thick liquids like soup tend to remain in the stomach for long and thus help to reduce unhealthy cravings. Do not limit your whole diet to just soups, instead swap one of your meals, preferably dinner with liquid meals. Also, make sure to eat soup slowly and put the spoon down between slurps as slower eating leaves you more satisfied.

Green tea, oolong tea, hibiscus tea, chamomile tea, and peppermint tea are great for weight loss. You can also make a herbal drink for weight loss using common kitchen ingredients like ajwain (carom seeds), lemon, and ginger.

Mix 1 teaspoon of ajwain with finely chopped ginger to hot water, let it simmer for a while, then add a few drops of lemon juice to create the best herbal concoction for cutting fat.

  5. Drink lots of water:

Sufficient water intake helps flush out toxins from the body, suppress hunger, and burn more calories. Drink a glass of warm water after waking up and 30 minutes before having meals to curb appetite and boost metabolism.
