Staying at home doesn’t mean you have to miss out on physical activity! Instead, it is even more critical to make exercise a part of your routine, when you spend all your time before a laptop screen. That’s exactly what singer, actor and former VJ Sophie Choudry also believes in. Well, our motivation levels are not at their peak, especially during the pandemic, but squeezing in some movement makes a huge difference.

The beauty took to Instagram to share what she feels, “With everything that’s going on, I haven’t been as motivated as I usually am. But I decided I need to snap out of it, and realised even 20 mins of physical activity a day can make a world of a difference! So while we are consumed by so many emotions and trying to stay safe, take time out for yourself!! Let’s go.”

If you want to make your workout fun, then nothing is better than jumping on a trampoline. It isn’t just super fun, but also ensures great stability and balance.

So without further ado, let’s find out why trampolining is one of the best exercises!

What are some of the health benefits of trampolining?

You might be surprised to know that trampolining is 68 percent more effective than a half hour jog. NASA’s Journal of Applied Physiology testifies this too, and shows how efficient this exercise is. Yes ladies, even more than jogging. We are as shocked as you!

Another study by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) found that a 20-minute trampoline workout routine burns as many calories, if you run at 10 kilometres per hour.

There are several other reasons why jumping on a trampoline is a good exercise:

  • Increased circulation
  • Enhances balance and coordination
  • Improves core strength
  • Strengthens bone density
  • Better cardiovascular fitness
  • Regulates metabolism
  • Increased muscle strength

What’s more, trampolining also increases the production of positive hormones in the body. It also helps in the healthy functioning of the lymphatic system, which maintains your body’s fluid levels, filters out toxic material and is an integral part of your immune system. By jumping on the trampoline, the lymph fluids move throughout the body — in fact, this exercise increases lymph flow by up to 30 times!

The last word

While all these benefits are great, it also aids in weight loss. Yes, it’s true! Just jumping for 30 minutes a day is good enough. The higher your heart rate, the more the weight loss.

So ladies, think no more and invest in a trampoline! It’s not just fun, but super effective.
