Raise your hand if you also believe that spending hours doing JUST cardio is the ultimate way to lose weight. Hmmm… looks like many of you are blindfolded by this myth. Don’t look shocked, because that’s the ultimate truth. And you will be absolutely amazed to know that doing too much cardio could reduce the size of your breasts, and make them look super saggy.

Yes please, do give them a glance because this is a FACT, and today we have an expert to put a stamp on it.

Come, let’s reveal why too much cardio is killing your breast size.

A little about the anatomy of your breast

Our breasts are made up of primarily fatty tissue. They also contain milk ducts and lymphatic tissues. Behind the breast is the pectoral muscle, and xercise can change breast size in a couple of ways. As you exercise more, you may lose weight, causing fat cells to shrink. Since the breasts are primarily fatty tissues, this can lead to a reduction of breast size.

“People can lose body fat by using up more calories than they eat, which is termed as a calorie deficit, and by eating a healthy diet. A low-calorie, highly nutritious diet can indirectly help to shrink breast tissue,” shared fitness expert Mukul Nagpaul, with HealthShots.

When you do intense cardio, you tend to lose weight from all parts of the body, including your breasts.

“Cardiovascular exercises that increase a person’s heart rate are highly effective at burning fat. When you hear the word cardio, do you think of sweat dripping off your forehead, while running on the treadmill or taking a brisk walk during your lunch break? It’s both. Cardiovascular exercise, also known as aerobic exercise, means that you’re doing an activity that involves oxygen,” he adds.

Don’t underestimate the power of push-ups when it comes to strong shoulders.
Here’s how you can make your breasts get back to normal

Excessive cardio with a calorie deficit will make a female lose breast size, but that will make your breasts saggy, which can’t be toned later without plastic surgery.

“Focus on eating nutrient-dense foods that are low in calories. Fruits, vegetables, fatty fish, eggs, and lean meats, such as grilled chicken, can help a person feel full, while still supporting healthy weight loss,” suggests Nagpaul.

There are certain exercises that you perform to enhance your breast size – push-ups and chest fly are the best from the lot.

Keep an idea of your risk of weight-related issues.

The last word

Always remember that gradual weight loss is what you need to keep your body vitals in check. Pressing on to one set of exercises will only make things worse.

“While cardio does burn calories and helps aid in weight loss, combining it with at least two to three days a week of strength training workouts can increase the rate at which you lose weight,” concludes Nagpaul.

So, balance weight training along with cardio and get the body of your dreams.
