If there’s one Bollywood celebrity, who is known for her killer bod, it is none other than Disha Patani. We’ve all watched her rock the bikini on screen or slay in those action sequences—but there’s a lot that goes behind it. The long-legged beauty believes in the power of kickboxing, and we couldn’t agree more. After all, this exercise is not just great to shape up the body, but also helps with mental fitness.

In her latest Instagram post, Disha has given her audience a sneak peek into her kickboxing routine, and guess what? We had our mouths wide open! Yes ladies, she leaves us awestruck, every single time!

Here are some benefits of kickboxing that make it worth a shot:

Yes ladies, it’s true. According to a study published in the Muscles Ligaments Tendons Journal, it was found that an hour of kickboxing, three times a week, can increase the maximum oxygen uptake. The more the uptake, the more efficiently your body is using oxygen, and that’s going to augur well for your heart health.

  • It acts as a stressbuster, and helps you with sleep

We live in times when stress is on the rise, so what’s the best way to release it? Try kickboxing! A study published in the Japanese Journal of Physical Fitness and Sports also found that kickboxing can help reduce stress and anxiety.

In a 2014 study, it was found that participants saw improved muscle strength in both the upper and lower body. Moreover, the study found that kickboxing also helped those who suffered from multiple sclerosis.

  • It helps with weight loss

We all know how good exercise is for the body, and that’s where kickboxing steps in to help. It is a form of full-body aerobic exercise which not just helps to burn calories fast, but is also good fun!  Moreover, a study published in the journal Biology of Sport found that kickboxers have a lower body fat percentage and higher muscle mass.
