You’re probably living under a rock if you haven’t heard about the ‘pawri ho rahi hai’ trend. For the uninitiated, the trend started when a video by an Instagram influencer Dananeer Mobeen went viral. Since then, people have come up with their own interpretation of ‘pawri’ and the internet is currently channelising its creativity to jump on this latest trend! In such a scenario, singer Sophie Choudry revealed her version of the perfect ‘pawri.’

We’ve watched Sophie Choudry host numerous shows and been absolutely awestruck by how confidently she captures the attention of the audience. Over the years, she’s used social media to give us a glimpse of her lifestyle. One thing is pretty clear: Sophie doesn’t compromise on her fitness! In fact, she swears by Pilates when it comes to keeping her body toned.

Turns out, her idea of ‘pawri ho rahi hai’ is indulging in an intense session of Pilates

In the latest reel she uploaded on Instagram, Sophie can be seen indulging in an intense Pilates session on a piece of equipment known as the ‘Pilates reformer.’ Her caption says, “Friday morning pawri #pilatesismypawri”

So, now that we know what Sophie’s version on ‘pawri’ is, let’s try to figure out why this is so. You see, Pilates is a fitness system designed by Joseph Pilates who had initially termed it as ‘Contrology.’ The movements are low-impact but extremely effective when it comes to:

  • Improving flexibility
  • Building endurance
  • Strengthening muscles, particularly the core
  • Improving posture

Pilates is the perfect way to tone the body but what makes it even more powerful is that it can really enhance the quality of your workout plan and improve results. In addition, Pilates can be particularly great for the core region because the moves that are a part of this exercise system work the abdominal muscles, lower back, hips and buttocks.

In fact, the moves you see Sophie doing are also particularly aimed at working the core and tone the area. However, the moves Sophie is doing are fairly complex and can only be done after a fair amount of practice. So, to be able to perform these moves to tone up your core, you will need to start your Pilates journey at the earliest!
