In an interview with Vogue, Shilpa shared how she loves to spread the word about health and wellness through her social channels. And don’t we all love her for that? 1. Kickstart your mornings with a good workout
Packing in some exercise during the day is a good idea, but Shilpa’s advice is to kickstart the day with some heavy duty moves. Here’s what she has to say in an Instagram post: “There’s so much uncertainty in life at this point that we need to center ourselves to function normally.”

Quarantine or not, experts believe a good workout in the morning can set the tone for the day! It not only helps you make healthier food choices, but leaves you feeling more energised and focused throughout the day.

2. Stretch it out
While doing intense workouts is great, it is equally important to stretch your muscles for proper recovery. That’s because stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong and healthy. “It’s important to stretch and flex muscles often, to prepare the body, safeguarding your bodies from injuries and for the activities we take on,” shared Shilpa.

3. Eat a balanced breakfast
A good breakfast is as important as a great workout! Make sure you eat a well-balanced breakfast that has everything in good measure: proteins, healthy fats and fibre. “I don’t skip breakfast because I don’t have time. If you don’t break your fast, you are not doing good to your brain and body. I like to keep it simple and quick,” shared Shilpa, in an interview. 4. Add berries to your diet
Haven’t we all heard the wonders of adding berries to your diet? They are rich in antioxidants, which means you can reduce the risk of several diseases, including heart and other inflammatory conditions, if you consume them regularly. Shilpa loves whipping up berry smoothies that are both healthy and delicious!

5. Balance your diet with guilt-free indulgences
Although Shilpa is all about leading a healthy lifestyle, she takes time off every Sunday to enjoy a guilt-free indulgence. Her #SundayBinge series is oh-so-popular on Instagram, where she shows her audience all the desserts and snacks she binges on over the weekend. “I am human so I give in, and when I do, I do it guilt-free and enjoy every bit,” she shared in an Insta post.
