Shilpa also explains the benefits of doing open and close squats, as follows:
1. Improves cardiorespiratory endurance

Cardiorespiratory endurance is the level at which your heart, lungs and muscles work together when you’re exercising. Open and close squats increase cardiorespiratory endurance which can have a positive effect on your overall health. This exercise enhances stamina and lets you exercise for longer durations.

2. Enhances lower body muscular strength

Squats are a great exercise to tone and develop lower body muscles, especially your quadriceps and glutes. The open and close squat variation is part of the strength training exercises that can help strengthen and tone the muscles in your lower body.

3. Tones shoulders

The way Shilpa performed the open and close squats, it caused an incremental impact on the shoulders as well. Moreover, this movement can help to reduce the pain and increase the range of motion and function of your shoulders.

4. Boosts speed, agility and brain function

Shilpa, in her post suggested that this exercise improves your bodily speed and agility due to its dynamic movement. Moreover, this exercise helps in increasing mind and body coordination.

5. Elevates arm & leg coordination

Last but not the least, open and close squat work to improve arm and leg coordination. The improved coordination between your arms and legs help in building muscles and increase the daily energy levels. In addition, your overall flexibility also improves by doing these squats.

So ladies, check out Shilpa’s post and try this variation of squat to get fit and toned lower body.
