For this, you need a medicine ball. You can decide the weight for it as per your endurance level. For beginners, we would suggest opting for a 2.5 kgs ball. If you belong to intermediate and advanced levels, you can take any ball ranging from 5 to 10 kgs.
Step 1: Stand straight with a ball in your hands. Keep your legs a little wider than your shoulders.
Step 2: Lock your lower body because it will not move. Keep your upper arms locked with your sides and your forearms should be straight in the front.
Step 3: Now keep breathing, engage your core, and twist your upper body from side to side.
Ta-da! And that’s how you do a tornado twist.

How to make it more impactful? Well for that, just instead of locking your upper arms to the side, raise them in front and then do the twist.
All you beginners, do 25 twists (on each side) and 5 rounds of it. Those who fall under the intermediate group can do 50 twists (on each side) and 5 rounds.
People who belong to the advanced level must do 100 twists (on each side) and 5 rounds of it.
While doing the tornado twist, just maintain your speed. You shouldn’t go way too fast or too slow. Focus on your core and breathe. Also, the biggest mistake people make during this exercise is moving their legs. If you are doing it too, you should know that the effect of this exercise will get distributed and your core won’t burn as it should.
Another thing you need to keep in mind to reduce belly fat faster is to keep the movement only side-to-side or we can say lateral. You don’t have to look where you twist because that’s when you can lose control over the range of motion.
Lastly, keep your eyes straight. Don’t move it way too much because then you might end up feeling dizzy. So look straight and just move, and let the tornado destroy the cellulite around your belly.
