I have always admired those who light weights. After all, building muscle is no easy feat. That was until I discovered that there are much simpler ways to achieve a well-toned body.

Don’t just take my word for it. Try these exercises and see your body transform in a matter of weeks:

  1. Skipping
Skipping in itself is a full-body workout. Did you know that boxing star, Mary Kom, shed off two kilos in just four hours of skipping. Now we can’t deny that she has great muscle mass. The best part? You don’t need an expensive gym membership for this. A skipping rope and open space is enough to get you going.
  2. Dumb-bell chest fly
Chest up ladies! You don’t need a machine for it–dumb-bells, or even two one-litre water bottles are enough to help you tone your chest muscles.
  3. Burpees
We get it, burpees are hard work. But once you ace it, you’ll get toned arms, belly, legs, and back–without lifting a single dumb-bell.
  4. Push-ups
For many, push-ups are the stuff of nightmares. That said, they can also give you strong arms, chest, and core.
  5. Sumo squats
A wonderful exercise if you want to build your inner thigh muscles, the only thing that separates them from regular squats is a wider stance.
  6. Frog jumps
Jump like a frog to get legs for days. Balance is key here, but hey–practice makes perfect.
