Sophia Salingaros

Sophia Salingaros is a Bharatanatyam artist. She has been a disciple of Guru Dr. Sreedhara Akkihebbalu since the age of 9. She is an ICCR Empaneled Artist, a vibrant performer and choreographer. Salingaros has presented her work at prestigious venues across the US, India, and Europe. Additionally, she has studied intensively under Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan and has performed in her international tours of ‘Vivartana’. As a non-Indian dancer, she hopes to spread the message that dance knows no cultural or religious boundaries. Sophia is a graduate of Columbia University and is currently pursuing her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College.
