Dr Vikas Kapur is director of the Minimal Access GI and Bariatric Surgery department at Narayana Hospital. He has 28 years of experience in general surgery. He has performed close to 12,500 laparoscopic surgeries and has contributed to handling numerous complex medical cases in several hospitals. He is known for his attention to accurate diagnosis and for treating patients empathetically. Some of his interests are laparoscopic bariatric and metabolic surgery, laparoscopic hernia surgery, laparoscopic hepato-biliary surgery, minimal invasive procedure for hemorrhoids (MIPH laparoscopic colorectal surgeries). He is also an active member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) and the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES).
