Dr Shashidhar B is an Andrologist who works as a Consultant in Andrology at Manipal Hospital in the Whitefield area of
Bangalore. He is a specialist in male sexual health and has been working in infertility and men’s health for over 20 years. He
is also an expert in microsurgery in men, along with other health issues. He has worked as a Sexologist and Andrologist at
various hospitals in Karnataka and has received fellowships from reputed institutes in this field. Dr. Shashidhar graduated
from the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, in 2002 after completing his MBBS. For his MS, he specialised in
Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences in Bellary in 2006. He worked as an Assistant
Professor at the Sri Devraj Urs Medical College for nearly five years. He left teaching in 2012 to work as an Associate
Consultant for the Madras Medical Mission. He was the unit head in the Gynaecology department of the Primus International
Hospital for one year. He joined Manipal Hospitals in 2014 and has been associated ever since. He has training in Diagnostic
Ultrasound and Doppler – Genesis Ultrasound and has completed an Advanced Training Program at Manipal University in
Andrology and men’s health. Dr. Shashidhar is the best andrologist in Whitefield, Bangalore. Dr. Shashidhar has a fellowship
from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in andrology And Men’s Health. He is a specialist in performing penile
duplex ultrasound, which is used to assess impotence in men and also has knowledge about male fertility Doppler
ultrasound. He has another fellowship in Advanced Microsurgical and Clinical Andrology from Manipal University. He speaks
several languages like Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu, which helps him converse with diverse patients. He got a
travel fellowship for the World Congress of Sexual Medicine held in 2016 in Beijing, China. In the same year, he was third in a
poster presentation competition at the KISAR 2016. He is a member of the International Society for Sexual Medicine and the
South Asian Society for Sexual Medicine. Dr. Shashidhar has expertise in male infertility, men’s sexual disorders,
microsurgery for Azoospermia, microsurgical varicocele surgery, penile glans augmentation for premature ejaculation, and
treatment of erectile dysfunction. He has done pre-marital counselling for couples and counselling for sexual problems,
sexual wellness, and overall men’s health. He has successfully used extracorporeal low-intensity shock wave therapy to treat
erectile dysfunction in his patients. His articles about these issues have also been published in various magazines and
journals. He is a sonologist who routinely performs various scans and ultrasound procedures for diagnosing sexual problems
in men
