Dr. Komal Pawar is a Consultant – Cardiology at SRV Hospitals.She obtained a Diplomate National Board (DNB) in Cardiology from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India, between April 2018 and August 2021. She is also an MD in Internal Medicine from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences and Deemed University, Karad, from May 2012 to May 2015. She has done her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from K.J. Somaiya Medical College, Mumbai. Dr. Pawar’s commitment to healthcare extended to her role as a Senior Consultant at the BKC Dedicated COVID Center in Mumbai from July 2020 to March 2021. Here, she played a crucial role in assessing and managing over 10,000 COVID-19 patients, including those with cardiovascular complications. Her leadership skills were evident as she actively participated in setting up protocols for the ward and ICU, leading a team of physicians and junior doctors. She excels in EECP therapy and the prognostic importance of NT-proBNP in Acute ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction.
