Dr Amit Kumar is the Director and Head of the Department of Nephrology and Renal Transplant at SHALBY Sanar International Hospitals. He completed his MBBS and MD from the prestigious PGIMS Rohtak, Haryana, and later pursued a super specialization in nephrology (DM Nephrology). He joined the prestigious AIIMS New Delhi. He was associated with leading healthcare organizations in the past. Dr, Kumar has been an integral part of more than 600 kidney transplants. These include most challenging transplant procedures, such as ABO-incompatible, transplantations in highly sensitized recipients, and high-risk transplants associated with significant comorbidities.
