Dr Ali Irani is the head of department of physiotherapy & Sports Medicine at Nanavati Max Superspeciality Hospital. He is also the International Affairs Chairperson for the Indian Association of Physiotherapists as well as the Principal of NMIMS University. He has the Physiotherapist for the Indian Cricket Team from 1987-1997. Over the years, he has presented papers on knee mobility, backache, hammer tone for frozen shoulder, fitness and sports injuries at various national and international conferences. He has done his B.Physio from M.S. University, Baroda, Ph.D in Sports Medicine as well as Ph.D in Anatomy of Body Movement and Dance, Bombay University.
