For healthy and acne-free skin, apply oil-free moisturizing cream on your face. Moisturizer creates a protective barrier on your skin and prevents the skin from the harsh effect of the environment which can make your skin dry and dull.
A high sugar diet can make your skin prone to acne and other skin complications. So, limiting the sugar you may be able to decrease the amount of insulin and as a result oil and acne production will also decrease. What’s more? Eating less sugar also reduces the inflammation of the skin.
Spending a long time in the shower can result in acne, dry and itchy skin. Due to the dryness, your skin will allow bacteria to enter through cracked skin, leading to skin infections. So, limit your shower time to 10-15 minutes and bathe with lukewarm water to prevent dryness.
Shaving more and often is bad for your skin. So shave less frequently and carefully. Before shaving, always wet your skin and apply cream or gel. Then shave in the direction of hair growth. Rinse the razor after each swipe of the razor. Apply moisturizer once you’re done.
