Yasmin, along with skin expert Jaishree Sharad, have spoken about the virtues of a morning and evening skincare routine.
She captioned the post, “Sometimes I wonder what my skin would be like if I had not taken care of my routine? That is why I am bringing my dear friend and skin expert @drjaishreesharad who guided me to the best practices to follow as a morning and evening routine,” she said.
And guess what? It’s easy and effective!
Whatever your skin type may be, you must start your skincare routine with a good cleanser. Cleansing is an important part of your skincare routine. In the morning, you need to cleanse your face to wash off any product you may have applied the night before on your face. Don’t forget to wash your eyes and ears.
The serum is an excellent addition to your skincare routine. In the video, Jaishree asks Yasmin to pick the Vitamin C serum. Well, you are probably well aware about the benefits of Vitamin C serum for skin health, but just to remind you, this nutrient-rich serum acts as a luminosity booster for the skin. Take just 3 drops of serum, apply it all over your face. Don’t forget the under-eye, dab it under the eye.
Depending on your skin, either choose a creamy moisturising lotion or a water-based gel to nourish and lock the moisture into the skin. It will protect your skin from drying throughout the day.
In the middle of following the skincare routine, Yasmin asks Jaishree about when one should apply a toner. Jaishree says that you don’t need a toner unless you have very oily skin or acne-prone skin. Now that is an important tip, ladies!
Never skip sunscreen. Whether you are staying indoors or outdoors, winter or summer, you need to apply sunscreen every single day, and it is non-negotiable. Sunscreen not just protects your skin from sun rays but also prevents early ageing and dark spots.
If after applying the sunscreen, your face also becomes white, then you have to just leave it on for a while till your face comes back to normal, or take it as a sign that you are using the wrong sunscreen and you’ve gotta change it, says Jaishree.
In the end, you can now apply makeup, but always use sunscreen before that!
However tired you are, you have to remove your makeup. Just don’t go to sleep with makeup. If you don’t do so, it can impede the natural exfoliation process and cause skin damage during the night. Remove your makeup so that your skin can breathe properly and can repair itself at night.

Cleansing is really important, especially in your PM skincare routine. Because if you’re not cleansing your face, you are allowing all the dust, dirt, sweat, pollution, and makeup particles to create havoc on your skin. And remember to choose a cleanser suitable for your skin type.
Take one drop and dab it gently under the eye. Using eye serum is the best way to renew and firm the delicate skin that is around the eye. It also helps to reduce wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, and crow’s feet.
Serums can do a wonderful job when compared to simply applying a moisturiser. The molecules of serums are smaller and that helps actives penetrate deeper into your skin to give better results like better hydration, younger-looking skin and can help to shrink enlarged pores by making them smaller. Don’t apply more than 3 drops.
Now you may ask what is a targeted cream? Specific creams for anti ageing, pigmentation, acne and etc are targeted creams, Jaishree explains in the video.
How simple is this AM/PM routine, right? Follow it starting today to see the change it can bring to your skin.
