Can you guess the body part that shows the earliest signs of ageing? Yes, your eyes! Experiencing fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation indicate that your skin is losing its elasticity and ageing. Therefore, you need to give some extra attention to the skin around your eyes. But what makes the eye skin area so sensitive?

First, the skin around your eyes is thinner plus more delicate than skin on other parts of your body. In addition, the eye area doesn’t have as many oil glands and collagen as the rest of your face and body, making it more prone to dryness, droopiness, lines, and wrinkles. 

Here are certain tips you need to follow to take care of the skin around your eyes:

1. Moisturiser

  • Vitamin A derivative
  • Peptides

That’s because harmful UV rays can cause fine lines, dryness, and wrinkling of the skin around your eyes, and plays a big role in the skin ageing process. Always apply sunscreen properly on your face to prevent premature ageing. 

6. Be gentle always

Rubbing your eye area harshly can lead to the formation of wrinkles and fine lines or can make the existing signs of ageing even worse.
