Aloe vera is magical for the skin. A plant with multifold nutritive advantages, aloe vera has been used by people all over the world for centuries and remains to be a key ingredient in skincare products. Consisting of more than 200 components like minerals, vitamins, enzymes and fatty acids, this water-based plant assures you of healthy skin, regardless of your skin type or concerns.

However, you’d agree that different skin types or skin issues need to be dealt with differently. So, we are here with five different DIY masks for some of the most commonly reported skin issues. You can pick one according to your needs:

1. For dull skin
If you have dull skin, aloe vera with turmeric and honey is the mask for you. Turmeric is rich in antioxidants that help brighten up your skin and make your skin tone even. Coupled with honey, the anti-inflammatory components of aloe vera soothe your skin and prevent it from having breakouts.

2. For oily and greasy skin
Want to treat your oily T-zone and pimples? All you got to do is bring aloe vera and cucumber together. The soothing effect that both these ingredients have on the skin will actually cleanse it and restore the moisture balance. This will resolve your oily skin issues.

So, make a paste out of aloe vera and cucumber to apply it once every week.

3. For pimples and breakouts
Neem is filled with anti-microbial properties and is famous for aiding the reduction of skin acne. Its anti-bacterial properties cleanse pores which can prevent breakouts and pimples.

Also, watch:

All you have to do is take aloe vera gel, rose water and mix them together with neem leaves to make a paste. Apply it and keep it on for 15 minutes before washing it off with cool water.

4. For skin tan
Take equal quantities of aloe vera and lemon juice to mix them and apply on the tanned portions of your skin. After it has dried out, which should ideally take 10 to 15 minutes, you can wash it off with plain tap water. This will hydrate your skin and strip that tan off.
