From following 10-step skincare routines to investing in expensive products, we go all out when it comes to attaining radiant skin. After all, no highlighter compares to the natural glow of skin that is healthy from the inside. This can happen only if you provide your skin with the right nourishment but minus the harm of chemicals found in products available in the market.
In such a situation, it will benefit you to turn to nature for help. Truth be told, there’s nothing more effective than home remedies like home-made face packs when it comes to restoring the health and glow of your skin. At times, the solution to all your dermal issues can be found right in the refrigerator!
It may seem like an unlikely combination but malai and blueberries can provide your skin with deep hydration, not only making it glow but also nourishing it.
2 to 3 blueberries
1 tbsp fresh malai
½ tbsp multani mitti, optional
Step 1: Crush the blueberries and add them to a clean bowl.
Step 2: Add malai to this bowl and mix the two ingredients till you get a smooth paste. You can use a hand-held blender for this as well.
Step 3: You can add multani mitti to this mix. It will help you thicken the consistency and also comes with multiple benefits, especially if you have oily skin!
Here’s how you should apply this mix to your face for best results:
1. Steam your skin for 5 to 10 minutes. This will allow the pores to open up and enhance the absorption of the face mask. Improved absorption will also enhance the effects of the face pack.
2. Now, pat your skin dry and apply the blueberries and malai face pack. Lightly massage the face for five minutes.
3. Let the mask stay on the skin for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off with water. Avoid using soap since it can have a drying effect on the skin.
The power of this mask lies in the fact that malai is extremely rich in fatty acids, while blueberries contain antioxidants.
The malai is able to deeply moisturise your skin due to its fat content, while the lactic acid in it gently exfoliates the skin to get rid of the dead skin cells.
Blueberries, on the other hand, fight the action of free radicals due to the antioxidants which can help prevent fine lines and work on hyperpigmentation.
Ladies, the next time around when you’re thinking about pampering your skin at home, keep in mind these two ingredients and this home-made face pack that can make your skin healthy and glowing!
