Here’s how aloe vera and bhringraj benefit your hair

Aloe vera is a succulent plant that is known for its health, beauty, and haircare properties. The plant thrives in dry climates and hence, as a natural mechanism, it is conditioned to store water in its leaves. This water when combined with the amino acids and complex carbohydrates present in the plant, make for a fantastic hydrating agent for the hair. As per research published in the Brazilian Journal of Microbiology, the gel in aloe vera leaves cleanses the hair shaft efficiently, stripping off extra sebum (oil) and residue of the hair products used regularly.

As per beauty expert Shahnaz Husain, aloe vera gel is a powerful natural moisturizer and prevents moisture loss.

Bhringraj or false daisy is a herb from the sunflower family. It’s leaves are known to be beneficial for hair growth and helps strengthen the roots as well. It is a rich source of iron, magnesium, vitamin E and D, and these properties nourish the hair and prevent any damage due to dryness or application of chemical based products.

Here’s how curd and hibiscus benefit your skin

When it comes to curd, it is perfect to deeply moisturise the skin while getting rid of dead skin cells. The lactic acid present in curd is believed to exfoliate the skin gently and even the skin tone. In addition, it can also feel very soothing on irritated skin.

Hibiscus, on the other hand, can provide your skin with a boost of vitamin C which is known to add glow to your skin, delay the appearance of fine lines and remove dead skin cells. In fact, research published in the journal Nutrients notes that vitamin C can greatly improve dermal health. We spoke to celebrity dermatologist and wellness expert, Dr Kiran Sethi from Isya Aesthetics, Delhi who said, “Topical vitamin C helps lends glow to the skin and prevents pollution damage along with mild pigmentation, boosting collagen, and preventing oxidative damage.”
