Just like our skin, our hair also needs care and attention. Truth be told, most of us are born with perfectly healthy hair but due to factors such as chemical toxins in hair products and environmental pollution, our tresses face trouble. If you’ve been experiencing certain hair issues and have been on the lookout for treatment, then you are at the right place!

The ingredient you need for this treatment is a powerhouse of nutrients and vitamins. What’s more, it is absolutely natural and abundantly available! Any guesses, yet? Well, we’re talking about the good old egg.

Here are the benefits of using egg on your hair:
  • Eggs contain amino acids which are known to promote hair growth.
  • The white portion contains enzymes and sebum, ensuring you can maintain hygiene and steer clear of bacterial growth.
  • It is a rich source of fatty acids that help you fight dryness and flakiness.
  • The antioxidants in eggs nourish the scalp and fight off the actions of free radicals that damage the hair.
  • The goodness of vitamins A, B, C, D, and E help in the prevention of hair fall.
  • The egg yolk contains a substance called lecithin which conditions the hair.
  • Egg also contains minerals like sulphur, zinc, copper, iron, and selenium which add volume to the tresses.

No wonder then that an egg hair mask works perfectly well when it comes to nourishing your hair!

Here are the ingredients you will need to make an egg hair mask:

-2 Eggs

-1½ tbsp of Honey

-2 tbsp of Olive oil

-2 tbsp of Aloe-vera

Apply the egg mask this way for the best results:
  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl.
  2. Add honey, olive oil, and aloe vera to the bowl. Mix all the ingredients together to form a paste.
  3. Apply the paste on your scalp and hair. Leave it on for 30 to 40 minutes.
  4. Rinse your hair with cold water and a mild shampoo.

You should ideally apply this hair mask at least once a week for the best results!

You’re probably worried about the smell it might leave in your hair, aren’t you? Here’s a solution for you:

  • Never use hot water to wash the egg mask out of your hair.
  • Vinegar is helpful! You can add it to the water to rinse your hair.
  • You can add yogurt to the egg hair mask.

So, provide your hair with the goodness of eggs to boost growth and volume!
