Here’s why seeds are beneficial for hair growth

What you eat affects your general health greatly and it includes hair health too. if your hair is not getting enough nutrients, it becomes dry, limp, frizzy, and falls off from the follicles. A little care from your side can ensure that the lustrous mane remains the way it is and the simplest way to do it is to include the power packed seeds in your diet.

“The best part about seeds is that you only need a handful on the go to meet most of the nutrient requirements. Seeds contain oleic acid, protein, iron, biotin, calcium, vitamins A and E, zinc, etc, and that’s why they are the magic potion for your hair growth,” says Dr Kapoor. You can also customize what seeds and oils to use according to your hair type too.

Here is a list of common seeds that promote healthy hair growth

1. Sesame seeds

Good hair growth requires the right nourishment. And sesame seeds are known to provide nourishment. “Black and white sesame seeds are power packed with minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids that give shine and strength to the hair,” says Dr Kapoor. They are a common ingredient in laddoos in India and you can also use them in your everyday veggies like French beans, stir fries, salads, etc. One tablespoon a day is enough.

2. Kalonji seeds

Say hello to kalonji seeds or black cumin and say bye bye to hair problems!
